| Kara Allen is the Vice President of Events and Campus Relations at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in business. Kara has been at the Alumni Association for 5 years having previously worked at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, DC. |
Kara is originally from Nashville, TN. She is married to husband Drew Allen, a corporate real estate attorney at Alston & Bird. Kara enjoys international traveling and competitive shooting.

| Jessica Kanter was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was raised here in Atlanta. She is currently a 3rd year Biomedical Engineering student with a Pre-Med certificate. Jessica began working with Student Foundation in the Spring of 2008 as a member of the Board of Trustees. |
| At Georgia Tech, Jessica is also involved in a variety of other campus organizations. She is a representative for Undergraduate Student Government Association, an advisor for Student Government’s premier freshman leadership organization, freShGA, the vice president of annual projects for the community service organization MOVE, a member of a social sorority, and a weekly volunteer at Grady Health Center. |
Jessica also enjoys participating in the GT Equestrian Team and intramural sports for her sorority and is currently in her 5th semester of work in a biomedical engineering research lab.

| Patrick Sugar was born in Duluth, Georgia and the majority of his family is from Youngstown, Ohio. Patrick is a 3rd year Industrial and Systems Engineering Student and began with the Student foundation in fall of this year. |
| Patrick is involved in many organizations on campus, such as Lambda Sigma, HERO, and an off campus organization called Heart of Passion. He is on the HERO Greek Affairs committee and has served as the Greek Week/Homecoming Chair and Rush Chairman for his Fraternity. |
Patrick loves football and is a devout fan of Ohio State as well as Georgia Tech football. He enjoys intramurals and likes nothing more than going to sporting events. He worked at Siemens Energy and Automation last summer and looks forward to the opportunities that the future holds.

| Amira Choueiki is from Columbus (Worthington) Ohio and is a 2nd year Economics and International Affairs Student minoring in Law and doing the International Plan with Arabic. She joined the Board of Trustees in Fall 2008 and is also involved with the Student Foundation Investment Committee. |
| Amira's involvement in other organizations include serving as the 2008-2009 President of AIESEC Atlanta, and is also a member of several AIESEC USA national working groups. She is the education coordinator for the Muslim Student Association and a member of the Atlanta Chapter of Women Advancing Microfinance. She loves working at The Carter Center weekly and contributing to her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, by serving on their Honors and Standards Board. |
Amira's hobbies spread from Ohio State (and Tech!) football, backpacking and camping, traveling, running, discussing politics and religion, and finding random concerts to attend in Atlanta. Her dream job is to become Secretary of State.

| Matt Wood is a 5th year Industrial Engineering major working on a certificate in entrepreneurship. He is from Grayson, Georgia and attended Grayson High School. Matt has been with the Georgia Tech Student Foundation since the Fall of 2006, and since has participated on the Allocations Committee three times, worked witht he Freshman Foundation, and currently is the co-chair and senior financial director of the Student Foundation Investments Committee. In addition to co-chairing the Investments Committee, Matt will serve as the Treasurer and an Executive Committee member of the Board of Trustees. In his free time, Matt loves playing golf, watching sports, and hanging out with friends. |
After graduation, Matt hopes to pursue a career along the lines of consulting or finance.

| Avrine was born in Ahmedabad, India and has spent most of his life in India and Thailand. He is a fourth year student majoring in Industrial Engineering with concentration in Economic Decision Analysis and in Management with certificates in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He has been a part of the Student Foundation since Spring 2007 with the Investments Committee and has helped with the Allocations Committee. He is now the Senior Managing Director for the Investments Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees for GTSF. |
| Avrine has done several internships at companies in the plastics industry. At Tech, he is involved with organizations like the Financial Management Association, Institute of Industrial Engineering, etc. |
Outside of class, Avrine loves playing soccer, reading and travelling. Upon graduation he hopes to pursue a career in the steel industry.

Morgan Doty was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. Morgan is a 3rd year Industrial and Systems Engineering major with a certificate in psychology. He began working with Student Foundation in the fall of his freshman year, when he was a part of the first Freshmen Foundation program.
On campus, Morgan has been involved with several organizations, including Freshmen Foundation, Dance Marathon, Lambda Sigma, and Student Foundation Development Committee. He has also served as Philanthropy and Graduate Relations chair for his Fraternity.

Outside of class, Morgan enjoys Tech athletics, especially basketball and football. He also enjoys intramural sports, fishing, and Kentucky basketball. Morgan also enjoys traveling, and participated in the Oxford Study Abroad Program last summer.

Christina Pinto is a third year civil engineering major from Lawrenceville, Georgia. In her freshman year Christina was on the Freshman Foundation, and then served on the development committee the following year. On campus, she has been involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Freshman Council, Connect with Tech, and Crew team.The past two summers, she has worked at GSP, Inc. Outside of Tech, she enjoys traveling and wakeboarding.

| Cory Dunton was born and raised in Seneca, South Carolina on the banks of Lake Keowee. He is currently a 3rd year Electrical Engineering major and a Technology Management Scholar attaining a Management minor. Cory began his involvement with Student Foundation in the fall of 2007 as a member of the Freshman Foundation. |
| On Tech campus, Cory has been involved in various organizations such as GT Ambassadors, Freshman Foundation, IEEE, Connect with Tech, and the Technology Management Program. In addition, he has served as a Sophomore Advisor of the Freshman Foundation and Scholarship Chair of his social fraternity. |
Cory also enjoys participating in intramurals, especially soccer and ultimate frisbee, and attending Georgia Tech athletic events. He has worked two semesters for Duke Energy at Oconee Nuclear Site as a Reactor Electrical Systems instrumentation control and power engineering intern.

| Patrick Darsey was born and raised in Albany, Georgia. He is currently a 4th year Industrial Engineering and Management student. Patrick started working with Student Foundation the Spring semester of his freshman year as a representative for the Development Committee. He served as the co-chairman of Development Committee and as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees. |
| On the Georgia Tech campus, Patrick has served on various organizations, including Freshman Council, Lambda Sigma, and TLAB. Along the way Patrick has served as the Promotional and Social chairman for his Fraternity, and he is now currently in his second term as Treasurer. He has also recently become the Treasurer for 31 fraternities on campus serving on the Interfraternity Council's Executive Board as Treasurer. |
Outside of class, Patrick enjoys intramural sports and going to Atlanta Braves' games. He has worked two semesters for a mechanical engineering firm and worked part-time in global investments at Smith Barney last year. He is currently deciding between business school and law school for his post graduation studies.

| Marianna Furman was born in Moscow, Russia, but has spent most of her life in Alpharetta, Georgia. She is a 4th year Management major who plans to attend Law School upon graduation this spring. She started working with Student Foundation in the fall semester of her freshman year as a representative for Development Committee then continued to serve as the campaign director of DC and a member of the Board of Trustees. She is currently serving as the Visionary Reception Chair on BoT. |
| On the Georgia Tech campus, Marianna has become involved in many organizations, such as Student Government, Dance Marathon, GT Heroes, Management Student Development Committee, and Management Student Advisory Board. She is also a member of a social sorority where she has taken on various roles such as assisting with recruitment and Social Coordinator. |
Outside of class, Marianna loves Tech football, photography, traveling, and just spending time with her family and friends. She is currently working part-time for her father’s company, studying for the LSAT, and finishing law school applications.

| Sharece is also involved with several other organizations on campus. Sharece serves as 2007-2008 President of the Georgia Tech chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, a member of the 2007 FASET Orientation Cabinet, and a member of the Finding Common Ground Executive Board. |
Sharece is currently a co-op student working with Southern Company and plans to pursue an MBA in the near future.

| Katherine Joy is a 2nd year Management major from Atlanta, Georgia. She joined the Board of Trustees in Fall 2008, and this is her first year working as an external member of the Board of Trustees. |
| At Georgia Tech, Katherine is an advisor for FreShGA and was a member of FreShGA last year. FreShGA is a freshmen leadership organization that is part of the Student Government Association. She is involved in Lambda Sigma Fraternity, which is a community service. She has also participated in Georgia Tech Chorale, Golden Key International Honor Society, the Academic Advising Committee, and held position within her sorority. |
Outside of class, Katherine enjoys everything from traveling, running, hanging out with family and friends,and playing tennis. Katherine is hoping to study abroad for her 3rd year.

Raahi is an international student form Mumbai, India. She is a senior majoring in Industrial Engineering. She joined the Investments Committee in the fall of her sophomore year, and has been very involved with it ever since. Raahi strongly believes that she has learned a lot about finance and investments through her participation in the IC, and is hoping to leverage that knowledge as a director this year. She has previously worked at SunTrust Banks within credit risk management in Atlanta, GA, and IndiaVenture Advisors, a healthcare based private equity firm in Mumbai. This summer Raahi will be interning at Deloitte Consulting as a Business Analyst. She is also very passionate about her involvement with India Club at Georgia Tech and the Undergraduate Consulting Club.

| John Hanson was born and raised in Peachtree City, GA. He is currently in his third year pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering and is also putting interest in Accounting and Mathematics. This is John's first semester as a member of the Board of Trustees, and he is currently serving on the Student Alumni Association and Allocation committees. |
| In addition to the Board of Trustees, John has enjoyed spending time getting involved in other organizations that are closely connected to Georgia Tech. He has served as the Vice President of Student Membership for the Executive Round Table, Alumni Relations Chair for his fraternity Beta Theta Pi, and also has been a FASET Leader for freshman orientation. He has recently been working to complete a COOP with Porsche Cars North America as a Financial Analyst, and he will complete his final semester the summer of 2009. |
Outside of class and work, John enjoys anything outside especially rock climbing, biking, backpacking and soccer. He has spent a lot of time traveling and recently completed the Oxford Study Abroad program. John is very excited about the upcoming year and cannot wait to get involved with the Board of Trustees.

| Laura Kitashima is from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina but now lives in Peachtree City, Georgia. She is a 4th year Electrical Engineering student who participates in the co-op program working for Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America in Peachtree City. This fall is Laura's first semester working with Student Foundation. |
| On campus, Laura is currently involved the M&M mentoring program, Eta Kappa Nu (ECE) honor society, WECE, and Order of Omega, and serves on the executive council of her sorority as Financial Vice President. She has also been a member of Emerging Leaders and Lambda Sigma, a GT1000 TL, and a FASET leader. |
Outside of academics, Laura enjoys long distance running, photography, soccer and traveling. She hopes to pursue a M.S. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering in the future.

| Brandon Monroe was born and raised in Washington, D.C area, and spent most of high school in Macon, GA. He is a Graduating Senior majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. This is Brandon's first year on the Board of Trustees, being inducted at the end of Fall 2008. He currently serves on the Student Alumni Association as well as the Allocations Committee. |
On the Georgia Tech campus, Brandon has held the role of President of the Nu Mu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the Logistics Chair for Project H.O.N.O.R (Helping Others in New Orleans Rebuild), and the Co-Finance Chair for the African American Student Union. Brandon has also been the Vice President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council as well as the community service chair for his Fraternity. He currently serves as the president of Project H.O.N.O.R, a student-run organization dedicated to rebuilding efforts in the New Orleans area and is a counselor in the OMED Challenge Program.

Brandon has co-oped a total of four semesters with a full-service civil engineering firm, and has completed an internship with a financial services firm in New York. Brandon hopes to pursue a career in wealth management or engineering upon graduation.

Nathan O'Connor was born and raised outside Vidalia, Georgia right off the Oconee River. He is currently a 3rd year seeking a degree in Industrial Engineering. Nathan began his involvement with the Student Foundation as a member of the Freshman Foundation in the fall of 2007. Around Tech's campus, Nathan is involved a variety of organizations including Connect with Tech, Georgia Tech Homecoming, and Tech Beautification Day. He was a sophomore advisor to the Freshman Foundation during the 2007-2008 school-year and is presently house manager and chaplain of his fraternity.

Outside of school, Nathan enjoys taking part in community service, especially with the English Avenue Neighborhood Association. He has interned at Simmons Bedding Company and also at a mechanical engineering firm. Most of all, Nathan has fun rooting for Tech and booing UGA.

| In addition to his duties on Student Foundation, Sam has held positions in multiple organizations on Tech's campus; he has been Scholarship and Social Chair for his fraternity, is the current Chair for the Honor Advisory Council, and a member of the Lambda Sigma honor society, Freshman Council, Executive Round Table, and Student Government Association Academic Affairs Committee. He has also participated in research for BME and Biology labs, and is currently in his 3 year of research.. |
Sam's greatest passion is playing soccer. He currently plays for an adult league team that ranks first in the league.
